When thieves ram-raided the front gates at Bradford engineering distributor Dixon Hall & Co, the impact ripped apart the gate hinges. However, the Abus Diskus 26/70 padlock securing them together held firm.

The perpetrators then met a second Abus Diskus 26/70 securing an iron bar across an internal door. Having tried and failed to cut through the lock's hardened steel alloy shackle with a power saw, they resorted to cutting through the iron bar instead.

The padlock, however, is still fully operational.
