The coveted ‘Sales Agent of the Year’ award presented by Garland Products has been won in 2023 by Adam Banks, the newest member of the company’s team. Adam joined the team as a partner to Andy Burton in late 2021 to represent Garland throughout the west country. Last season was Adam’s first full trading year on his own following Andy’s retirement.
Garland’s sales director, Mark Dedman, commented on the award: “It is a significant achievement for Adam to scoop the award in his first full year and demonstrates his enthusiasm for our expanding range of garden products. Adam will be in attendance at Glee (Hall:8-20 Stand: 20H30-J31) along with all of our other sales agents to showcase our latest innovative products as well as our numerous other top-selling lines.”
The runner up this year was John Ducker who covers Cambridge, Norwich, Suffolk, East Anglia and surrounding areas. Third place went to last year’s winner Joe Lydon who represents Garland in Scotland.
The awards were presented at Garland’s annual sales conference held in Hockley Heath on 8th and 9th June. The key element of the meeting was the presentation of over 40 new products for 2023-24 season, which was met with a great amount of enthusiasm from the attending sales agents. At the end of the meeting a final farewell was made to the retiring Andy Burton, who won the sales award in 2017. Acknowledging his contribution over the years, Garland presented him with an all- expenses paid golf trip for him and his wife Denise.
