Alan Titchmarsh no longer the face of B&Q

Gardening celebrity Alan Titchmarsh is no longer working for B&Q following the end of his three year multi-million pound contract at the beginning of this year.
Mr Titchmarsh will remain a 'friend of B&Q', according to the chain, which contracted him as a celebrity ambassador in 2010 after he topped customer polls of who was most trusted for gardening advice.
Mr Titchmarsh received some criticism due to his role as a BBC presenter at the time, but B&Q said that as he was a brand ambassador rather than endorsing company products, he wasn't breaching the rule forbidding BBC presenters from promoting products within their specialism.
