Internet retail giant Amazon has announced plans to open a one million sq ft fulfilment centre in Coalville, Leicestershire, as part of its £4.6bn investment in UK projects.
The centre, which will open in the autumn, will create 500 new permanent jobs over three years, bringing the company's total UK workforce up to 14,500 by the end of 2016.

Amazon currently has ten fulfilment centres across the UK in Doncaster, Dunfermline, Dunstable, Gourock, Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Rugeley and Swansea Bay.
