Kingfisher, parent group to B&Q and Screwfix, has appointed Andrew Livingston as the new chief executive of Screwfix, taking over from Steve Willett.
Mr Livingston, currently the Screwfix commercial and ecommerce director, was formerly B&Q's director of showroom. He also worked as chief operation officer at Wyevale Garden Centres for three years, before leaving in 2009 to work with Mr Willett at Screwfix.
Steve Willett, meanwhile, has been promoted to chief executive of group development and productivity at Kingfisher. This role includes responsibility for developing the group's multichannel operations.
His role with Screwfix is not at an end, however, as he will also be taking on the role of chairman at the business, and will be closely involved with its dealings. Working with Mr Livingston, part of his role will be to use the business model strengths of Screwfix to further the Group productivity and multi-channel offer.
Kingfisher chief executive Ian Cheshire said: "I am very pleased to once again be announcing an internal promotion to chief executive of a Kingfisher business. Andrew brings a wealth of experience to support the continued growth of Screwfix."
