Andrew Weiss of Monument Tools/Weiss Marketing has taken over from Philip Duncan of Akzo Nobel/Activ8 as president of the Rainy Day Trust (RDT).
Mr Duncan, president for the last two years, stepped down at the industry charity's recent annual general meeting after serving on the board for 10 years. He was presented with a crystal wine decanter in recognition of his loyalty, support and leadership.
The RDT also thanked British Independent Retailers Association commercial director Paul Woolley, who has recently resigned from the board after being an active member for many years, as well as Leigh Baildham, who joined following the merger with the Pottery & Glass Trades Benevolent Fund in 2012.
Three new members were also voted on as trustees at the AGM: Pam Plant of the International Housewares Association, Caroline Gordon of Kitchen Kapers and Jason Hopkins of Akzo Nobel.
