Another big name supports DIY Week Awards
Long-time supporter of DIY Week's awards events, Akzo Nobel, with its leading decorating brands, has pledged to sponsor the 2015 DIY Week Awards.

Akzo joins the already impressive line up sponsors, including BHETA, BIRA, GIMA, Henkel, Home Hardware Southwest, Sam's Trade Centre, Stax Trade Centres, Sterling and Totally DIY: Totally Tools.

Akzo Nobel's Alistair McAuley said: "Akzo and its portfolio of brands is delighted to sponsor and be associated with the DIY Week Awards. We see this event as an excellent way of rewarding innovative products and services that continue to bolster growth in the decorative category."

Judges will convene on November 26 to judge the nine product categories, including Decorating Product of the Year, Power Tool of the Year and the newly-introduced Kitchen & Home Product of the Year. A shortlist of Silver winners will be announced online and in the December 12 issue of DIY Week.

Meanwhile, the judging panel for the retailer categories will meet at the beginning of December, with the shortlisted businesses in categories, including Decor Retailer of the Year and Security Retailer of the Year, revealed online soon after and in the first January issue.

The overall Gold winners in all categories will be announced at the black-tie awards evening on Monday, February 16 at E.ON Lounge, Ricoh Arena, Coventry. The glittering awards event and dinner is a great opportunity to network with your peers and the biggest names in the DIY and garden industry.
