Another homewares chain in administration
Published: 30 September 2008
Joy, the high street fashion and homewares chain which is parent company of the Hob cookshop and food stores, is the latest casualty of the economic downturn.
Insolvency experts from David Rubin & Partners were called in last Friday to manage the administration. The retailer operates 28 stores across the country and employs 370 staff.
Administrators are now working to ensure as many employees as possible retain their jobs while seeking the best possible outcome for the company's creditors.
The collapse of Joy follows news that home furnishings chain Rosebys also entered administration on Friday, as reported yesterday on diyweek.net.
