The Branksome branch of Homebase in Dorset has been chosen as the destination for Argos to open a concession.
Home Retail Group, which owns both companies, revealed earlier in the year it had plans to open
20 Argos concessions inside Homebase stores.
A statement from Home Retail Group said: "We can confirm that planning permission is being sought for an Agros concession within Homebase Branksome, at Poole Retail Park Redlands, giving customers access to greater range of products from toys to technology.
"If planning permission is approved, an Argos concession would create up to 20 full- and part-time jobs for local people, as well as offering even more choice and convenience for customers in Branksome."
These concessions are being promoted as places to collect internet orders.
Argos has been working hard to promote itself as a multi-channel retailer and at Christmas released its first digital catalogue.
The retailer has also teamed up with Ebay to allow shoppers to pick up their orders from Argos stores.
The
click-and-collect partnership enables around 65,000 Ebay sellers to give their customers another delivery alternative by being able to pick up their purchases from 650 Argos stores.
