Workers at the Argos distribution centre in Bridgwater, Somerset are threatening to go on strike on Friday.
The action would come on top of a 24-hour down-tools last month by members of the Unite union working at the site who are unhappy about changes to their contracts.
They are currently considering an offer from Argos and Homebase parent Home Retail Group (HRG), and have been balloted over whether to accept it. If the offer is rejected a further strike will go ahead on Friday, July 4.
Staff at the site are reported to have had support from Homebase employees who deliver goods to the Argos distribution centre.
A spokesman for HRG said Argos would in due course be creating 350 new jobs in distribution as it implements its plan to become a digital leader.
"We have also proposed changes to our distribution employees' terms and conditions and have been engaging colleagues to introduce them. 98 % of our distribution colleagues have already accepted the changes to their contract, and we are working hard to understand and address any outstanding queries or issues.
"We believe the proposed changes represent the best outcome for the security of our colleagues and Argos alike. As such, we are now asking colleagues to accept the changes to their contract in order to help us realise our transformation plan."
