Ashford garden centre could be torn down

Published: 7 March 2016
Wyevale's Willesborough garden centre in Ashford, Kent, is in danger of demolition due to plans for a new junction off the M20, according to local press.
As reported by Kent Online, plans for junction 10a place businesses on the southern side of the A20 - including the Wyevale garden centre - under threat. The planning application states: "...The Wyevale garden centre would be removed and replaced with a balancing pond, the precise detais of which will need to be confirmed."

Plans for the junction, which have reportedly been in the pipeline for around a decade, have been described as "a vital development" for Ashford. Construction would include two-way link road bridge between the M20 and the A2070 at Sevington.

A spokesperson for Wyevale declined to comment on the story when contacted by DIYWeek.net.
