Autumn brochure and show success for Home Hardware
Published: 24 September 2012
A record number of over 1m autumn brochures and leaflets have been ordered by Home Hardware retailers - an increase of 8.8% on last year.
The 'Save Money' campaign features big savings on well-known brands including Russell Hobbs, Morphy Richards, Kenwood, Horwoods, Kitchencraft, Dulux, Vax, Salter and Stellar.
Home Hardware says the increased print runs on both the four-page leaflet and 16-page brochure are due to existing members increasing their volumes combined with several new retailers switching to Home Hardware for their marketing material.
Home Hardware marketing manager Beverley Wood said: "Our promotions significantly increase customer footfall and retail sales. There has never been a more important time for retailers to promote themselves as consumers are looking for greater reasons to buy."
Meanwhile, at Home Hardware's autumn trade show in Exeter earlier this month Acctim won the title of best display stand, earning head of sales Nigel Deacon a cash prize of £100 and a framed certificate.
The judges thought the Acctim stand had all-round visual impact and made good use of lighting. All the clocks and timers on display had been set to the correct time, and star buys and show offers were clearly demonstrated.
Kitchencraft received the runner-up prize of £50.
There were 147 exhibitors at the show, at which a draw raised £500 to be split equally between Cancer Research and the Rainy Day Trust. Winner of the £100 cash first prize was Ian Homewood from Brand Essentials.
