The Lynwood Decorating Products brand of British paint brush manufacturer LG Harris has won a prestigious award in recognition of its growth in Europe.
Lynwood scooped one of two new Make Europe Work! business accolades presented by the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe (COBCOE), picking up the Trade Development in European Markets award.
COBCOE represents 42 British bilateral chambers of commerce across Europe, whose combined membership comprises around 8,000 businesses. Lynwood was nominated by the British Polish Chamber of Commerce.
LG Harris decided to expand into the Central and Eastern European (CEE) market with the Lynwood brand in the spring of 2013, and from zero turnover the company is now projecting export goods worth £6.5m annually to Poland and the CEE by next spring.
Lynwood Divisional Manager UK & Export Nigel Gardiner-Harvey thanked the Polish Chamber of Commerce for nominating the brand for the award, and added: "It's a reflection of how far Lynwood has come in a short time. The Lynwood brand wants to now push on and establish itself as one of the major players in the decorating accessories sector not only in the UK but in export markets too."
