B&Q announces bank holiday bargains for May
As part of its Do It For Less campaign, B&Q will launch a Do It For Even Less discount card valid for the month of May. The card offers customers who spend £50 or more in store between Friday April 30 and Monday May 31 15% off their first purchase, plus a further 10% off everything they buy in store during the rest of the month.

B&Q marketing director Warren Scarr said: "This is B&Q's biggest ever May price investment, and as the improve don't move trend is still prominent we hope we can go some way to helping people get their homes and gardens looking as fantastic as possible during the bank holiday weekend and offer them the best possible prices.

"With the weather brightening up we expect lots of people to be heading outdoors to get their gardens in shape for summer, as well as making the most of the extra day off work to do a spot of DIY inside."

The retailer says the campaign is set to save customers over £18m in May with additional price cuts of up to half price on popular home improvement products including selected kitchen doors and drawer fronts, Cooke & Lewis bathroom suites and selected power tools.

A B&Q spokesperson said: "May bank holiday periods are traditionally one of the most popular times for Brits to spend time and money on home and garden improvements so the May Do It For Even Less discount card is designed to help customers save the cost at a time when they are set to spend the most."
