B&Q board changes

Kingfisher group commercial director Veronique Laury is to relocate to the UK from France to head up the commercial team on the B&Q board.
Reporting directly to ceo Euan Sutherland, Ms Laury joins next month and will be the third woman on the board. She joins recent appointee
Katherine Paterson who moves from Asda to take up the marketing director role.
Ms Laury has been with Kingfisher for more than six years, including time spent as commercial director at Castorama France, and prior to joining the company worked for Garden Max and Leroy Merlin.
Hers is not the first migration this year to B&Q UK from other companies in the Kingfisher stable. Indeed, two of her direct reports, Sebastian Krysiak and Ebru Sayilan, joined from Castorama Poland and Koctas in Turkey respectively, to take up their roles as director of trading decorative and director of seasonal.
The moves underline the commitment to group sourcing that Kingfisher ceo Ian Cheshire outlined earlier this year.
Speaking of Ms Laury's appointment Mr Sutherland said: "Veronique has done a fantastic job at Castorama in France and in her Kingfisher role as Group Commercial Director. I've worked with Veronique for some time now and she is uniquely qualified to lead B&Q's commercial direction. This is an exciting phase for our business as we continue to develop our proposition of making it easier for customers."
