A 45-year-old mother of two who has worked in B&Q Paisley for almost 10 years has been chosen to star in the retail giant's Christmas advert.
Mandi Morrison, from Renfrew, was delighted to take centre stage in the new advert. She said: "I can’t wait to see my boys’ reactions – I don’t think they’ve properly understood they’ll be seeing their mum on TV yet.
“I found out I was chosen the day before my birthday, and it was the best present I could have received. It’s been such an adventure and I’ve loved every minute.
“Christmas in our store is such a special and festive time for our customers and colleagues, so the fact that the advert captures this makes me feel honoured to represent our wonderful team.”
Ms Morrison has taken a leading role in several important developments at the store, including the product design software and training colleagues to use different design tools. She has even been known to don a Santa suit to spread festive cheer to customers.
Project manager Steven Burrell said, " “Everyone in the store is absolutely delighted for Mandi and being chosen is well-deserved recognition for her years of hard work.
“She’s the perfect brand ambassador and we can’t wait to see her smiling face up there with some of the favourite ads of the season.”
When not working a shift at B&Q, Ms Morrison has her hands full studying for a psychology degree as well as raising her two boys, aged eight and 10.
