Kingfisher bosses are expected to face a grilling over staff pay and conditions during the business' shareholder meeting this week.
According to The Guardian, campaigners will ask B&Q to reverse the cuts made earlier this year. Labour MP for Mitcham and Morden Siobhain McDonagh is expected to take the floor and ask the board to pay the independently verified living wage.
It comes following B&Q's
announcement that it would offer workers two years of compensation following an uproar over changes to pay and bonuses earlier this year. Campaigners are concerned over what will happen after the two years are up, however.
Ms McDonagh said: "I was glad that B&Q decided to extend their period of compensation for a total of 24 months. However, along with Citizens UK, I am very worried about what will happen after this period is over, and we have had no assurances from B&Q that no employees will lose out. I will be asking B&Q executives what progress they have made regarding what will happen after this compensation period is over."
