B&Q to stop selling patio heaters
Published: 23 January 2008
B&Q has followed the lead of Wyevale and announced that it is to stop selling patio heaters at its 325 UK stores.
The company, which is the largest seller of patio heaters in the UK - has said that once its seasonal stock runs out this year, it will not restock them.
Wyevale chairman, Jim Hodkinson, announced a similar decision early last year.
The Kingfisher-owned company is the largest home improvement retailer to make this radical commitment.
B&Q says it is acting on a recent survey in which 64% of its customers considered green credentials important when they are buying products.
