Litre bottles of new Wee&Q will retail for just 10p, made up of urine collected from the DIY store's plumbing system.
B&Q will trial the new natural compost accelerator in its New Malden store today. A member of B&Q's green team said of the product: "Urine is one of the best compost accelerators there is but not everyone is happy to spend a penny on their heap, as their garden may be overlooked.
"Our new service allows everyone to turn their kitchen and garden waste into compost using the power of wee, sparing their blushes."
When B&Q built its flagship eco-store in New Malden, a state of the art plumbing system was incorporated, harvesting rainwater to flush the toilets. Urine is now being collected through the store's plumbing system for the composting product.
To further celebrate the power of recycling customers can bring their own bottles into store, and will therefore receive the product for free.
The New Malden store is the first to trial 'Wee&Q it' but, if successful, B&Q has not ruled out extending the idea to its stores across the country later this year.
Yes, you guessed it....April Fools!!!
