Baby Bio has signed a one-year sponsorship deal with Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust to support the charity's new Summer of Open Gardens fundraising initiative.
The Bayer Garden plant food brand has pledged £3,000 to kick-start the project, which aims to encourage gardeners in Essex and Hertfordshire to open their gardens to family, friends and neighbours this summer in exchange for donations towards the counties' life-saving air ambulance.
Campaign Planner for Baby Bio Catherine Dorman said: "Joining forces with Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust is a great way to get people feeding their plants so they get more out of their garden and help a very worthwhile charity along the way."
Project ambassador is Ken Crowther - who has presented BBC Essex's Saturday morning gardening programme for almost 30 years.
Everyone who signs up before June 30 to open their gardens for the air ambulance will be entered into a free prize draw to win a hamper of Baby Bio Outdoor products worth £50.
