Bathroom Takeaway is proud to have been part of this seasons BBC DIY SOS in West Bromwich which aired on national TV on March 14 at 8.00pm
The bathroom specialists were delighted to provide two complimentary bathroom suites for a family who were living in very cramped conditions with their grandmother after their mum sadly passed away.
Andy Hargraves, head of photography at Bathroom Takeaway was fortunate to be invited down to the Big Reveal and said: “I’ve always enjoyed watching BBC DIY SOS but to be part of it was a real honour. We met people who had taken a great amount of time off work to help this lovely family and it was just phenomenal to see the whole community come together. The camaraderie and on set atmosphere really was the same as you see on tv. We even had to wave as the drone carrying a tv camera flew above our heads. I’d love to be involved in another project in the future and as well as providing a bathroom I’d be keen to roll up my sleeves and help in any other way I can.”
Managing director of Bathroom Takeaway, Julian Smith said: “Helping our local community is part of our DNA and makes us all proud to come to work in the morning. As a business we’ve supplied bathrooms for 60 Minute Makeover and BBC DIY SOS projects as well as less well known projects such as Trafford Carers, Brainwave and Key 103’s Cash4Kids. We’ve just opened our second store on the Minworth Industrial Estate in Sutton Coldfield, so we were only too delighted to get involved and show our support to the West Bromwich team. It really is a fantastic programme that brings communities together and helps such deserving families.”
