This year's Summer Outdoor Living Exhibition opened at the NEC yesterday, with a record-breaking number of first day visitors.
Two new retailing awards were presented - the BBQ Retailer of the Year and the Furniture Retailer of the Year.

The BBQ Retailer of the Year was awarded to the BBQ Barn, from Sidcup in Kent, while the Furniture Retailer of the Year went to Webbs of Wychbold.

"We decided to introduce these awards to enhance the co-operation between suppliers and retailers," explained Solex organiser Phil Gibbs.

As well as their trophies, the two winners also received £500 each to spend on a staff night out.

BBQ Barn owner John Whelan said: "This is a fantastic award to receive. We pride ourselves on customer service and providing a great range of products."
