BDC 2008, the latest incarnation of the troubled Bridisco wholesale business, entered administration on July 20 and was sold the same day.
Spokesperson for appointed administrators MCR Luke Norman told DIY Week: "We were appointed last Tuesday (July 20) and the business and assets were sold the same day to another company." He confirmed that a letter had been sent out to all creditors.
The new owner is called BDC Electrical Distribution Ltd and was incorporated on July 14. There are two directors listed, Russel and Catherine Law, who Mr Norman said are unconnected to the old business and its directors.
DIY Week has been unable to contact either of the new directors. Mr Law is listed as director of another electrical distributor, based in Sidcup, called Cralec.
As reported in DIY Week, BDC 2008 closed three of its six depots and appeared to have stopped taking orders as all sales lines were not working before the company was placed in administration.
All telephone numbers listed for the old business are now no longer in service. However, the company's transactional website is still operational.
