Bents kicks off Christmas

On Wednesday, October 14 Bents Garden & Home braced itself for an influx, as thousands of people descended on the centre for its official Christmas opening.
The Bent family was joined by the Mayor of Warrington, Councillor Geoff Settle and over 4,600 customers, all of whom joined in with the traditional countdown to unveil this year's much-anticipated Christmas display.
Christmas at Bents has been kept strictly under wraps for the past 10 weeks, but on Wednesday afternoon, the wait was over and a host of themed displays were unveiled.
This year's main theme is designed to capture the elegance of a traditional Victorian Christmas, but a 'Twist on Tradition' injects a modern and contemporary touch, with the colours red, white and gold anticipated to be one of this year's favourite colour combination.
Matthew Bent said of the launch: "A lot of our customers tell us that the opening event is the starting point for their Christmas preparations and going by this year's turn out there's a lot of people who are already thinking about how they're going to celebrate. It's definitely our biggest turn out to date and we are delighted that so many people have been able join us for the occasion."
