Best Buy has revealed they will open their second UK store on May 28 at Hedge End retail park in Southampton.
The US retail giant will be hoping that opening on another Bank Holiday weekend will enable them to repeat the success of their
first opening at West Thurrock retail park on April 30.
Branded operations ceo Paul Antoniadis confirmed the first launch as the biggest ever for Best Buy. He said: "I'm delighted to announce that the first three days of our opening weekend in Thurrock have been confirmed as the biggest ever opening weekend for a Best Buy store anywhere in the world by volume of sales. Everyone on the Best Buy team is thrilled with the start of this new chapter in the Best Buy story."
A company spokesperson said: "We're delighted to confirm that Best Buy's store in Hedge End near Southampton will open on Friday May 28 at 10am. Over the last few months we have received a high level of interest from consumers in Southampton and across the UK, eagerly anticipating the opening of our stores.
"We are therefore opening our doors to our Hedge End store ahead of schedule, in order to allow as many customers as possible to experience what Best Buy has to offer over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. We look forward to welcoming our customers to the opening weekend."
Details of in-store offers are due to be released in the next few days.
