Two leading industry trade associations - BHETA and GIMA - are jointly organising a Meet the Buyer day with Wyevale Garden Centres to be held on May 11.
Wyevale is seeking potential new suppliers who have new products and/or innovations that might be of interest to its customers. As well as in-store opportunities, Wyevale is also interested in premium ranges which present the ability to extend its online offer.
Small, 'niche' suppliers should not be put off, according to the garden centre chain, if they have what they consider to be a winning product then Wyevale says it is happy to consider it.
Buyers from all the main categories will be participating including horticulture, gardening, home, giftware, pet, leisure and toys/kids - and as always they are keen to see new and innovative products.
Suppliers must have the ability to deliver to their new CDC, and have the resource to provide the necessary technical back up and information as necessary. Exact lead times and approximate stock holdings should also be advised.
This event is not open to existing suppliers except those extending their offer to another category other than currently supplied (ie you currently supply garden products but want to present a home product to a different buyer).
A maximum of two people from each supplier company will be allowed to attend. The event is being held at the Holiday Inn, Brentford Lock.
