The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA)'s recent AGM saw the election of Roger Morgan Grenville as its new president.
Former president Clive Lloyd is retiring after his allotted two years in the role.
The meeting also welcomed DKB Household - Manual Appliances managing director Nick Cornwell to the board, which is otherwise unchanged.
Well-known industry figure Roger Morgan Grenville is managing director of family-run kitchenware company Dexam, a role he has had for 20 years, following an army career with the Royal Green Jackets. Outside of work, he is also an author, fundraiser and cricket aficionado.
Commenting on his election, he said: "Suppliers are faced with a crowded market and we only deserve a place there if we consistently introduce innovative, functional products backed with the sort of service which makes us a pleasure to deal with. BHETA can really contribute on both these fronts and I am looking forward to communicating that message to all sectors of the industry."
BHETA home improvement sector director Peter Stone added: "Over the last few years, the association has focused firmly on added value for members in terms of sales support, product development and retail engagement, and this in turn has generated considerable growth in the organisation.
"Roger's track record in product innovation and retail support can only add to BHETA's credibility as the perfect trade association partner for today's retailers."
