BHETA excels in trade association body's awards

The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) has received a comprehensive endorsement in the Trade Association Forum's (TAF) Best Practice Awards.
A finalist in three categories, it was highly commended in the Membership Success of the Year category for its dramatic growth in DIY and garden. The judges were particularly impressed by BHETA's successful growth strategy against a backdrop of austerity, and its progress in attracting big brands into the association.
TAF's Best Practice Awards is an annual event which recognises, rewards and promotes best practice amongst UK trade associations. Now in its eleventh year, it is a chance for trade associations to showcase their work and achievements during the previous 12 months in terms of performance and competitiveness.
In addition to its highly commended award, BHETA was a finalist in Event of the Year, for its Screwfix Meet the Buyer day, and Trade Association of the Year.
BHETA's home improvement sector director, Peter Stone, commented: "It's a great honour to be judged so successful against all our peers and I like to think that this is recognition for the very relevant nature of the added-value services and opportunities we give to members. It's all about credibility and this endorses our ability to create really good business development opportunities for our members."
