The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) has been shortlisted as finalists in three categories in the Trade Association Forum (TAF)'s Best Practice Awards 2016.
The selected entries are:
· Commercial Initiative of the Year for BHETA's role in promoting and providing exhibition space at the DIY Global Summit when it took place in London last year.
· Event of the Year Award for the BHETA-sponsored Innovation Zone at this year's Totally DIY : Totally Tools exhibition.
· Exhibition of the Year Award for the launch of Exclusively Electrical alongside Exclusively Housewares.
Organisers of the TAF Awards commented that the standard of entries this year has once again been very high and that it has been inspiring to read about the projects submitted for consideration, all of which have taken place over the past year to eighteen months.
The awards serve to recognise the contributions and success of trade associations and their staff at all levels within the trade association world and help bring them closer to fulfilling their goals. It is also a good opportunity to benchmark particular associations against other UK trade associations on key performance criteria.
The winners will be announced at the 2016 Best Practice Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, July 6, a glittering event which takes place immediately after the TAF Annual Conference.
Commenting on the shortlisting, BHETA's executive director for DIY Paul Grinsell said: "This is very exciting for everyone at BHETA especially as all the organisation's many events are a real team effort, which is why they work so well.
Will Jones, executive director for Housewares added: "BHETA is dedicated to creating commercial opportunities for its members and most especially opportunities which bring suppliers and retailers together. It's great that we are also getting peer group recognition for our initiatives in this way."
