DIY, garden and housewares companies looking to export further afield are invited to gain insider knowledge from the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA).
BHETA will be hosting an exclusive export forum for members on Thursday, September 4, in Birmingham, in conjunction with the UK Trade and Investment's (UKTI) international trade advisors.
Separate sessions will be held for members depending on their level of export experience so that a more focused and appropriate discussion can take place.
The forum will also include an overview from the regional director of the UKTI, advice on foreign exchange transactions and currency risk management from BHETA associate member AFEX, and three case studies from non-member and member companies operating in the overseas housewares, DIY and garden sectors.
The event will close with a networking lunch.
BHETA's home improvement sector director Peter Stone said: "This forum signals the start of a concerted export initiative from BHETA as Trade Challenge Partners of the UKTI. It will be followed by a series of focused workshops, designed to help individual members achieve specific export objectives.
"So I would encourage all members to 'get in at the beginning' by attending on September 4."
