New services aimed at driving member sales have been credited with a sudden influx of new additions to the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) recently.
DIY sector director Peter Stone said: "We have seen a tremendous upturn in new member applications and are delighted to welcome great names in the DIY industry to the fold. Brands like Worx Tools, Richard Burbidge, 3M, Shurtape, Stirling Locks, Rustins, method home, Masterlock and Mirka Abrasives have signed up in the last few months, following the launch of the new BHETA website and the much more positive market driving stance that it supports."
Pointing out the difficulty of the current trading environment at present, Mr Stone emphasised the importance of a trade organisation being able to offer "tangible selling opportunities as well as problem solving and compliance."
The new raft of services at BHETA include sales and marketing resources, asset sharing, market research, export and distributor introductions and selling forums. Mr Stone added: "[It's] all about helping members not just survive, but flourish."
Another new member joining BHETA off the back of these new services is Swan Products Ltd, which is keen to step up its profile in the UK housewares market. BHETA's housewares sector director Will Jones said the group was "delighted" to see its new initiatives attracting new members and brands such as Swan.
