Peter Briggs has retired from his post as national sales manager of Blackfriar Paints, having spent almost half a century in the paint industry.
Blackfriar says goodbye to national sales manager
Peter, 62, started his career with Bristol-based paint manufacturer Henry Matthews in 1961, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father and uncle. He joined Blackfriar Paints in 1980 as a sales representative and took on the stewardship of the sales team in the late eighties.

Peter played a leading role in building the Blackfriar business in the independent sector, working closely with wholesalers and retailers throughout the UK and Ireland.

He wishes to extend his thanks to his customers and colleagues in the industry and looks forward to a long, happy retirement with his family and friends.
