Fermoy's Garden Centre in Devon has said it is in talks about Blue Diamond taking it over.
Blue Diamond looks to buy Fermoy's Garden Centre
This follows rumours earlier this week. Diyweek.net reported on Wednesday that a spokeswoman from Fermoy's confirmed a possible takeover, saying "we're waiting until the contract is signed before we say anything", and that staff only found out last week.

The possible sale of DIY Week's Best UK Garden Retailer could be completed soon.

Blue Diamond md, Alan Roper, was unavailable to comment today. It has been reported, however, that he wants to "broaden [Fermoys'] customer base into the more affluent while protecting its existing customer base."

Fermoy's director, Alan Murdoch, did not confirm or deny the news, but told diyweek.net the company is in the process of announcing news of a takeover.
