The Builders Merchant Federation (BMF) has welcomed two new board members, Stewart Pierce and Stephen Thompstone.
Both were elected at the BMF's regional chairman's meeting. Mr Pierce is the financial director of Parker Building Supplies, where he's worked for 20 years, as well as financial director of Parker Ceilings. Mr Thompstone is Buildbase md. He joined the Grafton-owned company in 1998, was made a board director in 2004 before taking on the md role in 2008.

Two board members have also announced they are to step down. IKO's Andy Williamson and Dennis Smith of Bradford Building Supplies will both step down at the next board meeting, in June, having served the maximum term.
