Bord na Móna UK has supplied a pallet of its RSPB-branded Vital Earth compost to plant up the bird protection charity's show garden at BBC Gardeners' World Live.
The feature at the show, which closed yesterday, was a wildlife garden using plants, shrubs and trees, complete with bird-boxes, under the heading 'Together we can give nature a chance'. The RSPB compost, which was launched under the Vital Earth brand two years ago, is a no-peat multi-purpose product made by composting sanitised green garden waste and blending it with FSC bark and naturally derived nutrients.
Commenting on the garden, John Corcoran, Bord na Móna's head of retail, said: "Supplying our RSPB-endorsed compost to an RSPB garden feature was a perfect way to demonstrate our commitment to nature and best use of the world's natural resources."
