Bord na Móna UK posts 28% year-on-year increase
The latest results follows a year of bumper growth in 2014, putting the company well up on its overall budget and continuing to grow its share of the UK market. The growing media firm attributes the positive results to increased distribution, as well as incremental sales through existing garden retail customers.

Bord na Móna UK also believes education of the consumer with an 'at your own pace' gravitation towards peat dilution has contributed to the company's success. Head of consumer UK Charles Farmer said: "Our share of the market continues to be built on top quality in both peat-based and peat-free growing media and we will continue developing this 'one stop shop' approach. The philosophy is to give trade customers the reassurance of buying best in class, while ensuring that the consumer gets great results every time."

Bord na Móna UK trades peat-reduced Growise and peat-free Vital Earth through garden centres nationally and is the largest own-brand supplier of compost and bark in the UK. It is part of Bord na Móna plc, which specialises in eco-fuels, growing media, recycling, resource recovery and renewable energy.
