The British bosses of a French adhesive firm have been released following hostage negotiations with workers they were attempting to make redundant.
In what is thought to be the fifth case of 'bossnapping' this year in France, the three British executives, thought to be two men and one woman, of Scapa were held at the factory in Bellegrade-sur-Valserine in central France they planned to close.
The executives had gone for talks with unions over redundancy payments but found themselves locked in the plant.
The three were allowed to leave yesterday - it's unclear what negotiations took place.
A union representative speaking on the France Info radio shortly before the trio were released explained they were being 'well treated'.
He said the action was to demand a better redundancy payment for the 80+ staff as the chances of re-employment in the area were poor.
