Broad Street DIY Ltd is based in Bromsgrove and was established by Tony Warren in 1979. The retailer has been named as one of six businesses shortlisted in the Service Excellence category. The winner will be announced at a black tie dinner in Birmingham on Thursday, November17.
Three generations of the Warren family now work at Broad Street DIY and they attribute their large, loyal customer base to a high level of personal customer service – which includes professional advice on all aspects of home and garden improvement projects. Now in their seventh year, the not-for-profit Midlands Family Business Awards are backed and run by the Wilson Organisation. The firm’s MD Charlotte Perkins, the third generation of the family to lead the business alongside her sister Annabel Prow, said: “This year’s entries demonstrate the exceptional pedigree of the Midlands’ family businesses. The finalists together prove the family business sector’s vital contribution to the region’s economy. We wish all finalists the very best in the final round.”
Broad Street DIY director Lisa Childs commented: “We are all delighted to have been shortlisted – it reinforces our commitment to deliver the very best level of customer service at all times.”
All finalists are automatically entered in to the People’s Choice Award and the business with the most public votes will be the winner. You can vote for Broad Street DIY from 3 – 31 October via www.familybusinessawards.co.uk.
