Glee show director Daniel Thurlow is joining show organisers Emap Connect as sponsorship director, after three years at the helm of the gardening industry exhibition.
During a challenging economic period, Mr Thurlow was the driving force behind the introduction of several value-driven initiatives designed to help exhibitors, as well as enhancing the range of attractions for visitors.
At his departure, space bookings at Glee are 19% ahead of this time last year, with meterage expected to overtake last year's show in early July.
Glee's event manager Sam Mitcham will continue to head up the day-to-day sales efforts in the lead up to and beyond the September show. In his role he will work alongside the Glee and Petindex sales teams, as well as being the key interface with Glee exhibitor customers. He will also work closely with Glee's marketing manager David Langrish and operations manager Nick White.
Mr Mitcham said: "On behalf of myself and the Glee team we would like to thank Daniel for all his hard work and commitment to the show over the last three years. His expertise, dedication and fresh thinking have helped Glee grow and develop to where it is today - a true showcase for the industry. Looking ahead, myself and the team will build on the strong foundations that Daniel leaves behind to ensure that Glee continues to deliver a show that the industry deserves."
Key names confirmed for this year's show include The Scotts Miracle-Gro company, Sutton Seeds, Gardman, Bosmere, Westland Unwins, DLF Trifolium, Forest Garden and Grange Fencing.
