Brushware supplier is listed in The Telegraph's rundown of 1,000 mid-sized firms that it feels have "weathered the recession and are set to be the foundation of the UK's recovery".
The snapshot focuses on UK firms and partnerships with a turnover of between £5m and £500m, and who are growing and creating jobs. The data was put together by innovation agency NESTA and business information specialist Dun & Bradstreet, while the Telegraph also polled membership organisations and took nominations from readers.
The result, says the paper, is a list of companies that collectively generate more than £50bn in sales, that have operations across the UK and that have all shown resilience during the recession and stuttering recovery.
Managing director Charles Bentley said his firm's place on the list: "Being in The Telegraph's top 1,000 brightest businesses is reflective of the continuous growth and development the company has enjoyed over the past few years.
"In addition to being the leading manufacturer and distributor of household brooms, brushes and other cleaning products, we are also continuously developing sales and gaining market share in other associated product areas such as DIY, industrial cleaning and the equine field.
"In Europe our web-based sales are currently growing at a rate of over 50% a year. In addition business has already been won for 2012/13, which will contribute to the continuous growth of over 20% that we have been achieving."
NESTA chief executive Geoff Mulgan said of the research behind the Brightest Businesses snapshot: "The need to focus really rigorously on where jobs will come from, both nationally and locally, is more important than it was five years ago."
Mr Bentley added: "Moving forwards, we are committed to driving the company to even greater heights from both our base in the East Midlands, which is the central hub for European manufacturing and sales, product design and development, as well as through our Asian factories in Sri Lanka and China, ensuring that we are supplying quality products to Bentley customers around the world."
