London-based housewares distributor Chomette has gone into administration, though is continuing to trade.
However, the supplier of Rösle barbecues and a host of housewares brands' website
www.chomette.co.uk has gone down, revealing the message: "License has expired" when visited.
David Riley and David Dunckley of Grant Thornton UK LLP have been appointed joint administrators. The administrators declined to comment on whether there are any potential buyers, stating that interested parties should contact Adam Mitchell on 020 7865 2564.
While there may be companies wishing to take on the whole of the Chomette operations, it is also possible that buyers could be looking to cherry pick the company's other brands.
Chomette imports and distributes tableware, glass, ceramics, kitchenware, and cutlery in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. As well as Rösle, Chomette brands include Peugeot, Emile Henry, Zak Designs, Pillivuyt, Krosno, Ego Alter, SKK, De Buyer, the Zoku Quick Pop Maker and Plastik Patrik.
