Christmas and cookshop brochures set new Home Hardware records

Home Hardware says record numbers of this year's Christmas brochures and cookshop catalogues have been ordered by its retail members.
Over 1.5m of The Magic of Christmas brochures and four- and eight-page leaflets will go out, and some 900,000 brochures will also contain the four-page Toolbank Christmas promotion, which greatly adds to consumer impact, says Home Hardware.
Children's toys, novelty giftware, bird-care, decorations, kitchen gadgets, small electricals, cookware, tableware, tools and fireside products are all included in the campaign.
Almost 400,000 cookshop catalogues have also been ordered by Home Hardware retailers, with a further 21 supporting the catalogue this year.
The publication aims to encourage new and existing customers into stores by promoting Home Hardware and its members as serious cookshop and housewares retailers.
The 48-page catalogue features 'best pricing' - retail prices that match the price-aggressive autumn and Christmas promotions - and the lifestyle format and useful product information, cooking advice and recipes give the catalogue longevity.
Home Hardware marketing manager Beverley Wood said: "There's never been a more important time for retailers to promote, as consumers need a greater reason to buy. We continue to attract new retailers to our optional consumer promotions and I'm delighted that most chose to invest in Royal Mail's door-to-door distribution.
"Without doubt, our promotions significantly increase customer footfall and retail sales."
