Swedish hardware retail chain is to open its second store in the UK today.
The store, in the Arndale shopping centre in Manchester, measures 2,500sq m and employs around 40 staff. It follows the company's first opening, in Croydon, Surrey, in November last year.
The company has also said that the second opening marks the next step in its "ongoing expansion in the market". It plans a further four to eight stores in the UK during the 2009/10 financial year.
Director of operations Peter Jelkeby said: "British people are just as interested as us in the Nordic region in fixing various things in their homes. We were well received by the residents of Croydon and believe that the reception in Manchester will be equally positive."
