Duchy Active Equity has acquired the consumer division of wallcoverings company CWV and will now trade under the name CWV Wallcoverings.
CWV Wallcoverings will now trade from new offices situated at The Beehive in Blackburn and from a distribution centre in Bacup.
As well as new premises two experienced professionals from the world of private equity and the decorative coatings industry will join the company.
Richard Burgin and Ken Partington have worked together for over 10 years as board directors at SigmaKalon Decorative Coatings under the ownership of both PPG and Bain Capital.
And, former commercial director of CWV, Steve Mulheron, will be taking up the position of managing director with the new company.
He said: "We would like to thank CWV, as well as all our customers and business partners for their support.
"We remain committed to continuing to provide the product and services that all expect and have become accustomed to."
He continued to add that Duchy Active Equity's aim is to develop a strong business that will focus on developing new opportunities, such as extending product offer, increasing market share and improving the company's profile.
CWV produces wallcoverings under the Coloroll, Crown and Vymura brands.
