Customer service award for Homebase

Published: 25 March 2011
Homebase has been awarded The Customer Focus Award at the Institute of Customer Service's inaugural UK Customer Satisfaction Awards.
Homebase was shortlisted in two categories at the awards, held on March 23 - the Customer Commitment Award and the Customer Focus Award, which it took home on the night.

Judged by a panel of institute members and industry experts the awards, as their name suggests, reward companies leading the way in terms of customer service across different sectors.

Institute chief exec Jo Causon said "Those named as finalists can certainly count themselves among the top five in the country in their chosen category and should celebrate the fact wholeheartedly. Seldom does an organisation get to benchmark against non-competing businesses and evaluate its performance outside of its sector. These awards are a vehicle for achieving just that."

Commenting on the win, Homebase retail and distribution director Ian Jones said: ""This Award is for everyone in Homebase and their commitment to improving services to our customers".
