The British wallcovering brand, which celebrates its 125th anniversary this year, was sold to Erfurt MAV for an undisclosed sum last month.
CWV has worked closely with Lincolnshire firm Erfurt MAV for a number of years to supply the embossed wallcoverings, since stopping its own production of Anaglypta in 2006.
As a result, Blackburn-based CWV believes the sale is the next step in securing the future of the Anaglypta brand. CWV managing director Martin Kellaway explained: "The sale of the Anaglypta business is the logical conclusion of our cooperation with Erfurt MAV and will allow the continued development of the Anaglypta brand, securing the future of the iconic embossed wallpapers that have been a familiar feature of UK decorating for 125 years."
CWV explained that the sale will allow it to focus all resources on its remaining fashion wallcovering brands, Crown, Vymerol, Coloroll and Lincrusta, adding that it is "energetically pursuing opportunities for growth".
