Deadline extended: still time to be an Award winner
Published: 20 September 2012
If you haven't yet entered for the DIY Week Awards 2012 there's still time to do so now that we've extended the deadline to October 5.
By popular request, the closing date for retail and product entries has been put back to Friday, October 5, giving you two more weeks to make sure you
don't miss out on this opportunity to win a prestigious accolade for your business or product.
The
DIY Week Awards are designed to recognise and reward excellence across the DIY, hardware, decorating and gardening sectors, and provide a host of categories to suit all types of retailer and product.
On the retail side, entries are invited for Hardware Retailer of the Year, Garden Retailer of the Year, Tool Retailer of the Year, Décor Retailer of the Year and Retail Communicator of the Year. And this year we're replacing the DIY Superstore Manager of the Year with a new category, Store Manager of the Year - opening up the floor to any manager making a real difference within a DIY store, hardware store, decorating centre or garden centre.
Suppliers wanting to enter products for the Awards have even more categories to choose from: DIY Product of the Year, Garden Tool of the Year, Hardware Product of the Year, Decorating Product of the Year, Power Tool of the Year, Garden Accessory of the Year, Hand Tool of the Year, Garden Fertiliser/Chemical of the Year and Security Product of the Year.
The only requirement from product entrants is that they have been introduced to the trade between October 2011 and September 2012.
All the accolades will be presented at a
glittering Awards dinner at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate on Tuesday November 13 - the DIY industry event of the year. The evening means not only huge publicity for the winners, but also provides a valuable opportunity to network with leading names in the industry.
