Decco Ipswich opens its doors to praise

Published: 28 February 2008
After making a significant investment in a new gardening warehouse with more than 1,200 pallet spaces, Decco Ipswich opened its doors to customers with an Open Day and Supplier Exhibition at the end of January.
This was the first event of its type at the Ipswich branch for more than 15 years and it was supported by 170 customers who took the opportunity to look behind the scenes and meet suppliers in a relaxed and informal atmosphere while enjoying refreshments and a traditional Hog Roast.

Andy Birrell Ipswich Manager said: "The support from both retailers and suppliers was tremendous and we will certainly be opening our doors again.

"Customers who visited were pleasantly surprised at the scale of our warehousing operation and breadth and depth of stock holding".

Suppliers also had rewarding day with Richard Hartgrove of Crown Paints commenting, "A successful and enjoyable day was had by all, we took over 50 orders and we certainly welcomed this opportunity to meet so many of the key retailers in East Anglia".
