Delivery company adds furniture assembly option

A delivery company says its new service that offers not only to deliver but also build self-assembly goods will be an industry first.
Panther Warehousing claims the service will revolutionise the home furnishing market, putting an end to the stress many consumers associate with self-assembly products.
The two-man Deliver and Build service will be trialled later this year before its full launch in March 2016. It will give customers the option of having items such as bed frames, divan sets and other household furniture put together, and it is also thought the service could be used for some remedial work, for example replacement of wardrobe doors.
Panther Warehousing managing director Colin McCarthy said Deliver and Build was a natural progression for the business, driven by the growth of the online home furnishings market.
"None of our competitors are offering this service and it's always our aim to stay ahead of the game and ensure we continue to meet the challenges of the online retail business and the expectations of shoppers," he commented. "We believe this new service will prove to be incredibly popular."
Panther reinvented itself five years ago when it opted to focus on the niche area of next-day, two-man delivery of household furniture and other heavy items. The business has gone on to expand its range of services to include Saturday delivery, and earlier this year joined forces with Mattress Online.
