Frederic Arbaud - who has ambitious plans for the company - said: "Deroma pots are all unique to the brand and we will be embarking on a marketing campaign and rolling out new, inspirational point of sale displays and materials to further set Deroma apart from its competitors."

Frederic Arbaud comes from the food preparation industry, where he launched the Cuisinart small kitchen appliance brand in the UK, which, after just two years became established as the choice of the professional chef and serious cook.

The Italian owned Deroma Group designs and manufactures high quality, unique pots for the garden and home.

It started in 1955 with the idea of combining the thousand-year-old tradition of manufacturing terracotta pots with modern industrial technology.

The Deroma Group has a consolidated turnover of €100 million (£79m) and around 2,000 employees working in five manufacturing units in Italy, the United States and China.

The head offices are in Malo, in the province of Vicenza.
